About Rural Vets Australia

Rural Vets Australia is a unique veterinary practice, designed solely to service the communities and graziers of far western NSW. Founder and principal veterinarian, Sophie Hemley, operates out of a well-equipped mobile clinic that conveniently visits your property or rural community. Rural Vets Australia aims to provide quality veterinary care for both production and companion animal clients who have previously had limited access to reliable services.

“With extensive experience working in western areas, I understand the challenges of distance and time for those of you operating in rural and isolated areas. I’ve spent my career working as a livestock veterinarian based out of Broken Hill and now Griffith, and I have also practiced as a locum mixed practice veterinarian throughout rural NSW. I have a passion for production animal medicine and working dogs.”

“I am committed to customer service and can assure you that there is no dirt road too long and no property too isolated for me to visit. Whether you need one-on-one assistance, or you would like to book into a community visit, please get in touch.”
